The newest U.S.. Senator from Wisconsin is a Smith College alum.  Democrat Tammy Baldwin graduated Smith in '84 with a mathematics degree.  On Tuesday night she was elected the first female Senator from Wisconsin and the first openly-gay member of the U.S.. Senate.
