Greenfield is split over whether to split the town's residential and commercial tax rates. Wilson's Department Store owner Kevin O'Neal argues against splitting the rate, saying that could spell the end for some small business owners who are on the edge to begin with. But at a Town Council Ways and Means Committee hearing Wednesday night, Councilor Mark Wisnewski argued for a higher rate for business owners, saying that would give some struggling homeowners a break. The full council will decide the matter at its November 29th meeting.
