Amherst restaurant owners are pushing back against a proposed ban on Styrofoam takeout food containers. The owner of "Wings Over Amherst" delivery service says the cost of take-out containers would triple if he has to replace the Styrofoam with biodegradable containers. The town's recycling committee wants to ban Styrofoam takeout containers because they don't break down in the landfill. The Styrofoam ban will go before voters at Amherst Town Meeting which convenes Monday night.
