A man is under arrest after an alleged assault in Northampton early Friday morning. 27 year old Thomas Rhodes was allegedly lying in wait for his ex-girlfriend and her friends in her driveway at Woodbine Ave. He allegedly attacked their car with a crowbar and threatened the women with the weapon. A neighbor who came to the rescue with a black powder muzzle-loader allegedly got hit in the chest with the crowbar. Police arrested the two males at gunpoint, but eventually let neighbor David Kalinowski go after determining he had acted in self-defense.
