A fight is brewing over evidence in a high-profile murder trial. Ryan Welch is charged with murdering his girlfriend Jessica Pripstein in her Easthampton apartment last February. Welch then tried to kill himself, but was brought back from the brink to face charges. In court Tuesday, defense lawyer Paul Rudolf said statements Welch made to hospital staff were involuntary, and that blood samples were seized without the proper warrants. Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Kinder took the motion under advisement.
