Amherst State Senator Stan Rosenberg says fear on the part of Massachusetts state lawmakers is why the medical marijuana question ended up on the state ballot instead of being addressed in the legislature. But Rosenberg tells WHMP's Bill Newman show, he doesn't approve of that process, because he believes it's lawmakers' job to make those tough calls. Rosenberg adds that he would be OK with legalization of recreational marijuana use, but the legislature's main focus right now should be on fixing flaws in the medical marijuana law passed by ballot.
