A winter weather advisory is in effect in Western Massachusetts Wednesday. Between 2 and 4 inches of snow is expected to fall during the morning hours before a changeover to freezing rain, then all rain. State transportation officials are urging drivers to slow their speed on the highways. Most local schools canceled classes today.
