The WHMP Heavy Petting Pet of the Week from the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society is Caspian the bunny. Dakin is having a Valentine Day Love Somebunny adoption event at both of its adoption centers in Springfield and Leverett. Hours are 12 noon - 7:30 p.m. Love Somebunny promotes all that is great about having a bunny as an indoor pet. Dakin bunnies receive a veterinary exam and are spayed or neutered before they go home. In Springfield, two local rabbit rescue groups will be on hand to feature some of their adoptable rabbits: 3 Bunny Rabbit Rescue and House Rabbit Connection.
