The operator of the South Hadley landfill is in trouble again. Advanced Disposal of Florida was fined $3,500 Monday for failing to keep trash covered. This time the DEP also wrote a warning to town officials, saying as owners of the site, they are also responsible. The landfill has been the source of a number of compliance violations, and the operation is currently under investigation by the DEP.
