Vince Neil plans to perform a day after surgery

Motley Crue rocker Vince Neil is set to take to the stage as planned on Tuesday, just a day after undergoing surgery to remove kidney stones.

The star was admitted to hospital in Australia on Sunday night after cutting short the band's gig at Sydney's Allphones Arena due to his pain.

Nikki Sixx told fans on Monday that his bandmate had been operated on, and Neil took to his Twitter page after the procedure to thanks fans for their well wishes.

He also revealed he planned to be part of the band's show in Brisbane on Tuesday.

In a series of posts on his page, he writes, "Just out of surgery. Spent (the) night in hospital probably have to again tonight (Monday). Thank you all for the kind words and prayers.

"Huge thank you to all the paramedics at the All Phones Arena (sic), the ambulance paramedics, the nurses, doctors and Staff. Doc says I should have a full recovery and be back onstage for the Brisbane show tomorrow. Thanks to my bandmates and crew for your support!"
