Greenfield Emergency Dispatchers Union Concerned Over Possible Privatization

The Greenfield emergency dispatchers union says it is alarmed by what appears to be an attempt by Mayor Bill Martin to privatize that service. Dispatch Union Spokesman Mark Lavin says there has been talk that Martin wants to farm the service out to Am B Care Ambulance, but the rank and file has been given no specifics about that plan. Martin says the proposal is only in the fact-finding stages at this point, and no agreements have been signed.
