Springfield is taking MGM to court, saying the casino has failed to meet key promises in its host agreement with the city. The lawsuit points to fewer jobs, slot machines and table games than promised, along with unfinished work at State and Main streets. The dispute is also holding up MGM’s planned sale of the Springfield casino to Canadian investment firm Clairvest.
