From Puerto Rico, a conversation with Loíza Mayor Julia Nazario, whose city is partnered with the Holyoke-based Nueva Esperanza. The agency is raising money to help Loíza recover from the effects of Hurricane María. It is also partnered with eastern coastal city of Yabucoa, where the hurricane entered last Sept. 20.
Also, my aunt Carmen and I on what’s food prices, gas prices, long waits for doctor’s visits and a new license that islanders will need to enter the United States, And here we thought we were US citizens.
