In the wake of the removal and subsequent return of benches in downtown Northampton, Mayor David Narkewicz promised to continue the dialogue of the current and future health of the downtown. Now, the city council has approved a resolution supporting “vibrant sidewalks”. Greenfield has been through a similar situation and is now adding benches to its downtown. WHMP is lending its airwaves to this dialogue in this WHMP community forum.
