Amherst parents are pushing back against a school bus overhaul that would eliminate more than half the district’s stops. The proposed changes would reduce stops from 600 to 235, with some students facing earlier pickups and longer walks. Officials say driver shortages have caused ongoing delays. Superintendent Xiomara Herman says revised routes could take effect November 30th, but the plan is still being finalized.
