Classes are back to normal at Amherst College after a suspicious package prompted an evacuation of the science center Tuesday. State Police bomb technicians investigated the package for about three hours and determined it was not explosive. The building reopened and classes resumed at 1 p.m. Police say no crime was committed and there is no threat to the public.
