Help could be coming for South Hadley’s short-staffed police department. The Select Board backed adding two officers, if grant funding comes through. One would restore the school resource officer; the other would focus on domestic violence and sexual assault cases. The town would use money set aside for a human resources director to cover its share of the costs.
