Patients at a longtime Hampshire County medical practice are facing more changes. Dr Katherine Atkinson has abruptly left the practice she founded 21 years ago, saying she had no choice and is not retiring. She sold the financially struggling business last year. The Northampton office has also closed permanently, although the Amherst location remains open. Another physician is leaving November 13th, leaving just one primary care doctor at the practice.
