Montague voters could be asked this fall to fund the next step in a major elementary school consolidation plan. A new building committee is recommending money for a feasibility study on expanding Sheffield Elementary and eventually moving Hillcrest students there. The study could cost up to $2 million, though the state may reimburse as much as 80%. A Special Town Meeting vote is expected in October.
