Belchertown has an extra half-million dollars in state aid, and town officials are deciding how to spend it. About 162-thousand dollars will go directly to the schools, while the Select Board wants to put the remaining money toward future capital projects, including repairs at Jabish Brook Middle School. The School Committee will discuss the funding Tuesday, with voters getting the final say at Town Meeting November 9th.
