Funeral services will be held Sunday for Greenfield Fire Captain John Whitney, whose occupational brain cancer has been recognized as a line-of-duty death. A formal procession begins at 1:30 at the Main Street fire station and will continue to Court Square for services at Second Congregational Church. Hundreds of firefighters, honor guards and a pipes-and-drums band are expected. The public is encouraged to line Main Street. Road closures will be in place Sunday afternoon.
