Construction starts next month on a new affordable housing project along Route 9 in Hadley. The former EconoLodge will become Russell Crossing, with 50 apartments for veterans, people leaving homelessness and lower-wage workers. The $16.3 million renovation is expected to wrap up next spring, with residents moving in later in 2027.
