Tune in Saturday, February 8th @ 11 am, and Sunday, February 9th @ 8 pm to hear Ira speak with NINA ROSSI, of Nina’s Nook, a whimsical, 5-foot-wide gallery in Turners Falls, that displays her art, and of her fellow craftspeople. Their exhibits include an annual erotic art show, her paintings of street life, collections of the stories of visitors to the store, and her art on the theme of the abandoned shopping carts of Turners Falls (it’s a thing there). She is also a member of 2 bands (including bassist for the wonderful She Said); and the Shelburne Falls Art Collective; and a hyper-local coloring book of Turners Fall. Listen in!

(did not see that coming!) The building being built on Venture Way in Hadley will be the new home to all this and more. They discuss Andrea’s journey, including running her 2nd generation family business (repairs on technical medical equipment, getting the O.R. operating again); plus how her personal struggles and healing led her to help young people in crisis, and lead the organization (IGL) that gave her so much support, when a client seeking help. They discuss her being the “muscle detective” who can find the source of pain, even when you’re feeling it elsewhere; how her combination of several bodywork tools and personal support, in a caring, judgement-free environment, has helped clientele, ranging from MIT medical staff to athletic training departments to beekeepers (she is one), has eased the pain of many.
