A former Greenfield man found not guilty after 28 years in prison

A Franklin County jury has cleared a former Greenfield man in a nearly 32-year-old murder case. Elvio “Ralphie” Marrero was found not guilty Wednesday after serving 28 years in prison for the 1994 killing of Pernell Kimplin. His attorneys argued travel records showed Marrero had already left the country when the murder happened.
