Coca-Cola Closing Its Northampton Bottling Plant

After years of delays, Coca-Cola has set a final closing date for its Northampton bottling plant. The Industrial Drive facility will shut down December 15th, with 175 workers losing their jobs beginning in August. City officials say career centers are helping affected employees, and no new water-rate increase is expected because Northampton had already prepared for the closure.
