Shelburne Town Seal Change?

Photo: WHMP

Shelburne could be getting a new town seal — or at least a corrected one. Town Clerk Joe Judd is proposing a five-member committee to review the seal, gather public input, and bring a recommendation to voters at next year’s Annual Town Meeting. The main issue is the date: the current seal says Shelburne was incorporated in 1768, but Judd says the correct incorporation date is 1775. Selectboard members approved forming the committee, with voters getting the final say.
