State housing officials spent Tuesday in Franklin County looking at several projects aimed at adding more housing. Orange is getting $2.3 million tied to redevelopment near the former Butterfield School, Greenfield has a $500,000 site-readiness grant supporting a downtown affordable housing project, and Montague is getting $456,000 for design work at the former Farren Care Center property, where plans could eventually include up to 150 homes.
