Plans for a 49-unit senior housing development in Hadley have hit a funding setback. The town’s Community Preservation Committee rejected a 700-thousand-dollar request to help build seven affordable apartments at the Village Barn Shops on Route 9. Committee members say the proposal falls short of the town’s affordable housing requirements and raised concerns about compliance with state law.
