UMass Amherst is making a major investment in the future of food. The university is launching a $120 million initiative focused on food safety, climate-resilient agriculture and feeding a growing global population. The plan includes a new 36,000-square-foot food innovation hub, new faculty positions and expanded research. Groundbreaking for the new facility is expected in late 2027.
