Ashfield has created a new position to help move its clean-energy plans forward. The Select Board has hired Jonisha Aubain as the town’s first energy manager. Aubain is pursuing a doctorate in mechanical engineering at UMass Amherst and will focus priorities on going after grant money. The part-time position pays 45 dollars an hour.
